David regularly conducted auctions for charity and presented talks on antiques for both academics and interested groups and societies.

With over thirty five years of experience in the world of art and antiques David puts his knowledge to good use in his lectures. Subjects ranged from specific themes such as New Hall porcelain to fine art or David’s life experiences including working for the BBC. Lectures were given to groups such as NADFAS, Women’s Institutes and historical or art societies all over the country, as well as on various cruise ships.

As an auctioneer in his own auction room to lattererly being freelance, David used his skills outside the saleroom in aid of charitable causes to encourage the bidding in addition to requests for events requiring valuations.
